I am the Canada Research Chair in Queer, Community, and Diversity Education and Associate Professor in the Faculty of Education at the University of Manitoba in Winnipeg, Canada. I am also the Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Journal for the Study of Adult Education. I was the 2018-2019 President of the Canadian Association for the Study of Adult Education.
I hold a Honours Bachelor of Arts (Drama-in-Education) and Bachelor of Education from the University of Windsor, a Master of Education (International/Global Education) from the University of Alberta, a Graduate Certificate (Higher Education Online Pedagogy) from the University of Illinois-Springfield, and a Doctor of Philosophy (Education) from York University.
My research focuses on educational interventions that generate social, organizational, and systemic changes that centralize two-spirit, trans, lesbian, gay, bisexual, queer, and other diverse identities and knowledge.
